Paintings from Jemez Springs NM

These are two other paintings from Jemez Springs, NM. 
This is an update of how this painting was completed. Since the last posting of this image I added the dog in the foreground, the people under both porches, and the the two trucks. I had let my friends on facebook offer suggestions about what to add to the painting. I received suggestions ranging from roadkill to VW buses. It was fun to see what "the people" wanted.

Painting in progress

I have been working on this painting for a while. Still needs something else for me to see it as being done. This is a scene from a little village in the Jemez Valley of New Mexico. It is near an art camp I teach at during the summer. One of my favorite places.  The Los Ojos burger is special also.

The Peoples Art Show

This painting, The Pearl will be in The Peoples' Art Show at the 5G Gallery, Factory on 5th, Albuquerque. This is an oil that is 36x48. I think i will also include  Essence and the El Don.

This piece, Essence and the El Don is a 24x36 oil . These are both part of a series I call, at this time,  Bright Lights: Looking for a Purpose from a Neon Sign.
